These regulations are in place to protect consumers, especially children, from potential harm or dangers associated with certain products. Before you start selling any toys, games, or hobbies, it's crucial to research the regulations that apply to your specific products.

Age Appropriateness.

One of the most important considerations when selling toys, games, hobbies, or accessories is ensuring that they are age-appropriate. Many products come with age recommendations to ensure the safety and suitability of the items for children. It's crucial to clearly display these age recommendations on your products and marketing materials to inform customers and comply with regulations.

Safety Standards.

toys, games, hobbies, or accessories must meet strict safety standards to be sold legally. Before launching any products, it's essential to have them tested for safety and quality assurance. Additionally, it's crucial to stay current with any safety recalls or updates related to the products you are selling to protect your customers and your business reputation.

Compliance with Consumer Protection Laws.

As a seller of toys, games, hobbies, or accessories, you must comply with consumer protection laws to protect your customers and maintain trust in your brand. This includes accurately representing your products, providing clear and transparent pricing, and offering fair return and refund policies. Listing Requirements

• Category: Toys, games, hobbies, or accessories must be listed in the correct category.
• Item Specifics: Some item specifics are required, such as, Brand, Type, Colour, Model Number, or Part Number. (this also help buyer find what they are looking for)
• Titles: Ensure your listing includes a clear and descriptive title that accurately represents what you are selling, helping buyers easily find your item in search results.
• Short Description: Provide a brief description, giving potential buyers a quick overview of what you are selling. (Optional)
• Main Description: Make sure your main description is clear, accurate, and not misleading, providing all relevant details to help buyers make informed decisions.
• Pictures: Include high-quality pictures of the actual item for sale, ensuring they are clear and accurate to give buyers a better idea of what they are purchasing.
• Condition: Be honest about the item's condition, providing clear and accurate information so buyers know what to expect.

Spares or Repairs: If listing an item as spares or repairs, clearly state this in your description along with a brief explanation of the issue. Listing for toys that need to be repaired for ages upto 6 years is not allowed.

Homemade Items: If selling homemade items, ensure compliance with local laws and regulations where you operate and ship to. If your homemade items are not approved you can list it on BNSBids.

The Following is Prohibited;
The below list is not limited to:

• Product that has been the subject of a product safety recall.
• products listed as Spares or Repairs with sharp points will cause any risk, death or injury.
• Button batteries must not be sold separately. (batteries must be fitted if provided as part of the sale)
• Listing must not claim that a toy, game or hobby is intended to be used to diagnose, cure, treat, or prevent disease in humans.
