Vehicle Part and Accessories Policy:

We allow many vehicle parts and accessories for many vehicle type such as - cars, vans, pickup-truck, motorcycle, boats, heavy equipment, and more, just as long as all sellers follow our rules, policies and all applicable laws and regulations.

Depending on the type of part you are selling, you may have an obligation to offer the buyer an option to return their used part for safe disposal.



Listing Requirements:

Ensure listings includes a clear and descriptive title and descriptions that accurately represents what you are selling.


  • Category: Vehicle parts and Accessories must be listed in the correct category.
  • Item Specifics: Some item specifics are required, such as, Brand, Type, Colour, Materials, Volt - e.g 6v, 12v or 24v, Part Numbers, Compatible Vehicle Make and Model.
  • Titles: include the part title followed by the part brand and not the related vehicle make and model.
  • Short Description: Provide a brief description, giving potential buyers a quick overview of what you are selling. (Optional)
  • Main Description: Make sure your main description is clear, accurate, and not misleading, providing all relevant details to help buyers make informed decisions.
  • Pictures: Include high-quality pictures of the actual item for sale, ensuring they are clear and accurate to give buyers a better idea of what they are purchasing.
  • Condition: Be honest about the item's condition, providing clear and accurate information so buyers know what to expect.


  • Spares or Repairs: Vehicle parts and Accessories listed as spares or repairs, clearly state in the description along with a brief explanation of the issue.

(Note; If listing vehicle parts and accessories as spares or repairs you should have some idea as to why that particular vehicle parts or accessory is being listed as spares or repairs)


For Specific vehicle part and accessory labelling requirements:

What information must be included on vehicle part labels?: Vehicle part labels typically include information such as the part number, manufacturer name and contact details, country of origin, date of production, and any relevant safety warnings or instructions. Additionally, labels may be required to feature specific symbols or codes to indicate compliance with certain regulations or standards. you should check requirements before-hand.

Sellers are responsible for making sure that their vehicle parts or accessories are not under any recall and follow any labelling requirements. if a particular vehicle parts or accessory is or has become under recall, sellers must remove any recalled items immediately and contact buyer (if any) and let them know.




The Following is Restricted:

Below is some examples but is not limited to;

Batteries. Vehicle batteries must be safe, sealed and follow labelling requirements.

New Helmets Only.

Road safety equipment that in good working order

Vehicle accessories that include, but are not limited to; Audio Systems, Lighting, Alarm or Security Systems, and other replacement or add-on vehicle accessories.

New, used or refurbished Garage Equipment & Tools

Fuel Cans - they must comply with the requirements laws in your country.

Catalytic converters must be in good working order and meet applicable requirements for the type of catalytic converter.

Vehicles categorised as waste. They must comply with regulations. Sellers must display the applicable environmental permit information to sell used car parts:

  • If you are selling a vehicle par that has been dismantled from used vehicles, you must have and display the environmental permit number in the description.
  • If you are not dismantling the vehicle parts yourself, you must display the environmental permit number of the site(s) where you source the vehicle parts
Seat belts must be in good working order and must display an approval mark and state the vehicle it has been taken from and the vehicle it will fit

Sellers wishing to sell vehicle number plates in the UK should check the legal requirements. For sellers in other countries  check with your "Vehicle Licensing Agency" they should be able to help.



The Following is Prohibited:

Below is some examples but is not limited to;

Used vehicle parts that have no model numbers.

Car parts that lack the necessary certifications such as the ECE certifications.

Vehicle airbags and related component parts.

Vehicle seatbelts and seatbelt components that show any signs of fray on the belt or damageSeat belt alarm cancellers.

Vehicle parts and accessories that are under recall.

Devices that bypass vehicle emissions or make changes to the engine management, emissions control, exhaust or braking systems.

Used Fuel related vehicle part must not contain fuel in them.

We do not allow any vehicle part or accessories that do not comply with regulations.



Activity that doesn't follow this policy may result in action being taken with applicable laws, and depending on the activity we may be required by law to report the activity. If we find your listing or your listing is reported we will investigate and remove the listing. depending on the activity we may give a warning or suspend your account.
