How Do I Create a compatibility V-fitment?

To create compatibility V-fitment, you must be logged in to your account first.

1. Go to your "create v-fitment" management page. (Selling > Tools > V-Fitment Tool > "Create V-Fitment")

2. Select your vehicle type, e.g., cars, trucks, pickups, vans, RVs, and motorcycles.

3. Add the vehicle part number and part name. (buyers can search this specific information.)

A vehicle part number is a unique identifier assigned by the manufacturer to each individual part. These numbers help accurately identify and order specific parts needed for repairs or maintenance.

Part numbers may include:

  • Original Equipment (OE) number: Assigned by the vehicle’s original manufacturer.
  • Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) number: Assigned by a third-party supplier.
If the part is used, cleaning may be necessary to make the part number visible.

4. Select the correct vehicle Make, Model, Variant, Year.

  • It's recommended to include the Type, Engine, Chassis information but it's optional
Note: If you do not include the Type, Engine, Chassis information before saving v-fitments, you will have to delete and re-select the specific vehicle information again within the v-fitment edit page.

If a vehicle part is compatible with multiple vehicles, you can select several at once:

  • On a Mac keyboard, hold down the Command key while selecting vehicles.
  • On a Windows keyboard, hold down the Ctrl key while selecting vehicles.

Each dropdown list for Make, Model, Variant, and Year will display the previously selected vehicle to help differentiate and identify the selected vehicle dates.

For example, in the Model dropdown, vehicle makes are shown with their respective models grouped underneath, making it easier to navigate selections.

5. When you have finished creating your compatibility V-fitment information, just press the Add Fitment button, and all the compatibility V-fitment you created will be added to the below v-fitment section.

6. Input your custom compatibility V-fitment name and press the Save Fitment. For example, if your vehicle part is for "Audi" and "Volkswagen", you could name your compatibility V-fitment "Audi / Volkswagen Fitment.

When you create your compatibility V-fitment name and saved it, we redirect you to the page where all your compatibility V-fitment data is saved.

All the compatibility V-fitments you create can be edited at any time.
