Official Government, Postal And Transit Policy


You may sell official government, postal, and transit items only if they are vintage or obsolete and do not resemble current operational equipment.

The sale of modern, active-issue public service items is strictly prohibited.



We allow the following:

Pre-1900 government documents such as marriage licences and birth certificates.
Any vehicle licence plates that may be desirable as collectible and valuable, (but must be no longer valid or retired for use on a vehicle)
Costumes designed to look like mail carriers for the purpose of fancy dress.

Promotional merchandise that bears the logo of the delivery company, such as:

  • DHL.
  • Air Post.
  • Parcel Force.
  • TNT.
  • Federal Express (Fedex).
  • United Parcel Service (UPS).
  • Royal Mail.
Car dealership stamps, blank service log books or completed service log books “can only be sold with a vehicle”.



The following is Restricted:

Examples of the item you “can't sell” on BNSBids.

  • Fake "novelty driver’s licenses or IDs" you can list for sale just as long as your image/picture clearly shows it's a fake and it doesn't resemble the current template. Sellers must also clearly state within their description that it's a fake/novelty cartoon.
  • Cherished vehicle licence plates, when sold in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations both nationally and internationally.
  • Vintage delivery/courier uniforms as well as bags, hats, and ties just as long as they are 10 years old or more and no longer used by any delivery/courier company. When listing items of this type, you must state within your listing description the age of the item.



The following are Prohibited:

(Not to be listed on BNSBids at all at any time)

Government IDs or documents.
Design plans for commercial airlines or plane engines.
Birth certificates or completed application for a birth certificate.
Transit and vehicle IDs or documents.
Restricted or classified (government) documents.
Fake IDs, such as any licences or passports.
Government vehicle licence plates.
National Insurance numbers or a completed application for a National Insurance number.
Fake certificates or diplomas.
Any current blank Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) plates.
Documents that are designed to look like official documents but are actually fake.
Copies of current vehicle licence plates.
Driver's licences or a completed application for a driver's licence.
Stamped VIN or TAG plates that have been removed from a vehicle as well as VIN plate rivets.

Schematics or blueprints such as:

  • Airport.
  • Underground Railway System.
  • Train Station.
  • Bus Route or Station.
  • Tram Route or Station.
  • Ferry Port.
Car dealership stamps, blank service log books, or completed service log books "cannot be sold without a vehicle.
V5, logbook vehicle registration documents "cannot be sold without a vehicle.

Uniforms as well as accessories that are currently in use now, such as:

  • Public Transportation Uniforms.
  • Any airport security uniforms.
  • Current Airline Uniforms.
  • Flight Attendant.
  • Pilot Uniforms.
  • Gate Agent Uniforms.
  • Hats, Pins, Scarves, and Ties.
Delivery/courier company uniforms or badges that are still in use now, such as:
  • Parcel Force.
  • DHL.
  • Federal Express (Fedex).
  • United Parcel Service (UPS).
  • TNT.
  • Royal Mail.
  • Any Other Type Of Delivery/Courier Company Badges That Are Still In Use.

 


Activity that doesn't follow this policy may result in action being taken with applicable laws, and depending on the activity we may be required by law to report the activity. If we find your listing or your listing is reported we will investigate and remove the listing. depending on the activity we may give a warning or suspend your account.
